Malice Stencil Font

Malice Stencil is a calligraphic stencil font in two styles designed by Phoenix-based type designer Scott Biersack, in collaboration with True Grit Texture Supply.

We worked with True Grit Texture Supply, offering production assistance to bring the textured font to life by developing a custom process for distressing each character individually using a combination of analog print samples and live-trace presets.

We then pressure tested the font through a range of creative outputs that capture the font’s dark and gritty aesthetic, while showcasing it’s key features, including rough and clean versions, ligatures, emoji replacement commands, multiple languages, and more.
