Yeah Girl

Yeah Girl is a global media platform celebrating the intersection of women’s skateboarding and creativity. It began as an exhibition, created and curated by Sarah Huston, featuring photos of female skateboarders shot by female photographers around the world.

Following the hugely successful 2016 Australian exhibition, Yeah Girl headed to Copenhagen in July 2017 with support from Girls Are Awesome and Monster Energy. In partnership with Vans, the 2018 exhibition was held at The Seventh Letter in Los Angeles. The event was documented by Vice as part of their 6 episode series, “Boardly”. In 2019, Yeah Girl returned to Australia for the “Homecoming” show at HOTA on the Gold Coast.

In order to continue Yeah Girl’s mission of spotlighting women in skateboarding, BLNKT designed a brand new clean and minimal site that showcases editorial content. Offering a platform for new and established voices within the community, from industry level to grassroots, Yeah Girl became a go-to source for women’s skate news, stories, and events.

We later undertook a complete rebrand of Yeah Girl, redefining the brand aesthetic, and capturing a sense of movement and fun, while maintaining the refined style that Yeah Girl is known for.
